With a background in history, storytelling and archival science, I’ve always been passionate about the power of storytelling and the importance of documenting our legacies for future generations. My mission, along with my amazing staff of artists, is to create customizable comprehensive narratives that combine traditional archival methods with modern technology, making it easy for clients to capture their histories in engaging multimedia formats. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that my work allows people to reflect on their lives, share their experiences, and leave a lasting impact. Hi! I’m Catherine Schaarwaechter, a Death Doula in Montreal dedicated to supporting the dying and their loved ones. My journey began with personal experiences of grief, which motivated me to train as an End-of-Life Doula at Douglas College in 2017. I provide emotional and practical support throughout the dying process and educate caregivers, helping individuals understand life and death. I also created the "BIRTH OF A DEATH DOULA" mentorship program to empower others to serve the dying authentically.
